I need a late pass for this one: DJ Topspin X Waajeed: The PPP Remixtape. I first got familiar w/Topspin when he did the Glenn Lewis/Dilla remix. Drums been crispy since Southfield High lol! Having grown up around some of Detroit's finest & getting first hand knowledge from Jay Dee (Dilla) doesn't hurt either when it comes to doing beats for Young Buck, Llyod Banks, Slum Village (last 3 albums), and many more. Always try & keep y'all on the new new. We've known about these cats for about 2.5 years now. Dope! What caught my ear was how they flipped this Dilla track sooo ill! Now a lot of people have been doing that post Dilla's passing but this is the best flip I've heard, hands down. The arrangements & vocals are crazy too! Check it out below:
