Random Thoughts - 2/25/09

I guess I'm truly a blogger now lol. Following in the tradition of the homies Cliff & AR, the following are several random thoughts I've had over the past week. Partake:

DAMNIT! I broke my BAPE coin holder

I wonder how a live performance of "Gibberish" by Ryan Lesile will sound...

Beyonce's "If I Were a Boy" is a Dope song! (stamp my late pass)

T-Pain "Chopped & Skrewed" is one of the coldest gospel songs...

Pharrell gives the best shout-outs!

Red Cafe is dope

Shouldn't "what up doe" be spelled "what up dho?"

I'm addicted to the Internet!! Not g.o.o.d.

I wonder what this Drake album gon sound like if the mixtape is this crazy??

I feel like I'm the only person NOT on Twitter

"The Louis Vuitton Don's" (K.West) women's colorways are way harder then the men's to me. (hope they got a size 12)

Pass the offering plate...

If someone was to ask me my favorite genres of music, my reply would probably be : gospel & westcoast music (which comes from gospel & funk). So it's Sunday & I didn't go to church today but I thought this would be fitting for the day:

Dennis Montgomery III (Berklee) playing "I Won't Complain" (this has to be the epitome of being sick on the organ!!!):

What up D. Slate (evolutionZ)?? We gotta step our game up lol

Now I don't know this dude, but he clowned on this!!

Fish dinners on sale in the basement y'all...

Fav Dilla verse

The 2nd verse of this song might be my fav Dilla verse because I can relate to what he was saying soo much. During my early high school years I was on this whole Rawkus/Ecko tip coming right out of the No Limit/Ca$h Money era in middle school. Confused on what "real hip-hop" was. It was soo bad I sold my Juvi "400 Degreez" (dummy!). All of my life I have loved baller shit (cars, ice, boats, etc.), most due in part to my Dad. But I was fronting like I didn't like that anymore when I went thru that early high school phase but deep down inside it was still in me (I'm a Wright!). Anyway, to make a super long story short (I'll have to break it down in a video), I finally came full circle & learned to love whatever is dope to me (that's what makes one versatile in life & art is an imitation of life, hence how WrighTrax can work w/any type of artist). I hate when so called "real hip-hop heads" try to front like your not a "head" or dope cuz your chain is icey...NIGGA Please! Y'all kill me:
